On the 19th November, over 350 delegates from across brands, press outlets and media owners, will come together for the tenth edition of OMD’s industry-leading event at Zabeel House Al Seef Hotel.
Over the last decade, OMD has presented delegates with emerging trends impacting their operations and equipped brands with the knowledge to aid in future-proofing their businesses. World-leading speakers have shared international best practice and thought-leadership from around the globe, to support clients, employees and business partners enhance the quality of their planning and prepare them for what is around the corner.
In a nod to the changing ways in which we, as an industry, are working and acknowledging the new business operating model, this year’s event sees a focus on putting humanity squarely back at the heart of future-proofing business strategies.
OMD EMEA CEO, Guy Marks, joins the line-up for the first time, to share his thoughts on what he believes is a critical success factor in shaping a winning formula for OMD. That for all the understandable focus on tech stacks – the effectiveness of your talent stack is what matters most. And that building more human interaction, understanding and empathy both in the workplace, and across all our relationships and interactions could go a long way in addressing a damaging trust deficit which exists both within the media and marketing business and wider society.
Guy will be followed on stage by Amazon’s John Rossman, who will discuss the importance of building a culture of innovation before Snap’s Jacob Andreou talks about empathy in his keynote address.
Closing the event will be a fireside chat with actress, writer and director, Nadine Labaki, who will touch on the effects of social impact on storytelling.
