OMD has again expanded its global and regional leadership position as the industry’s number 1 media and digital network of choice.
In the report’ 2019 Global, Regional and Country Rankings’, released today by leading independent and international research company, COMvergence, OMD takes first place globally as the leading media agency network by billings, at $24.6bn, with the highest year-on-year growth of $1.4bn.
OMD EMEA and OMD North America also take first place regionally as the leading media and digital agency networks in their respective regions.
Across EMEA, OMD has seen the highest year-on-year growth of regional billings in volume, at $547m growth, accumulating to $9.3bn in total billings (up 6.2%). Looking at digital billings specifically, OMD EMEA takes the number one spot with $2.9bn (a 31% share).
The newly launched digital rankings are a welcome measurement as evidence of the agency’s continued transformation. They can be attributed to clients such as Sportsmaster, Allianz, ELC UK, Poltronesofa and IG Group joining the agency’s digital roster of clients across EMEA.
Across the region, strong growth from offices in Czechia, Greece, UK, MENA, Netherlands, Norway, France and Germany, alongside OMD sitting top in Portugal and Russia, have cumulated in this first-place recognition. Greece sees OMD’s two offices, BGO and Tempo identified as the two largest growing agencies in market, with Tempo recently named as ERMIS’ Media Agency of the Year.
Building on OMD’s success over the last 18 months, with the agency currently sitting top of RECMA, R3 and COMvergence rankings, and currently named Adweek’s Global Media Agency of the Year for the second year running, this latest achievement is testament to the agency’s performance in delivering Better decisions, faster for clients.
