OMD has been awarded the coveted Media Network of the Year at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Within Media Lions, OMD was awarded Gold and Silver Lions for BCL for CeraVe’s ‘Michael CeraVe’ campaign, alongside Silver Media Lions for OMD USA with PepsiCo for ‘Lay’s Chip Cam’, and OMD Philippines’ for ‘This is an IKEA Store’ for IKEA. Bronze Lions were awarded to Team X France for ‘The Iconic Playlist’ for Mercedes-Benz, again for OMD USA for ‘Lay’s Chip Cam’, OMD China with Apple’s Shot on iPhone / Little Garlic, and OMD New Zealand with ‘Ad-On’ for McDonald’s.
Omnicom Media Group agencies have taken both the first and the second spots this year, with PHD Worldwide claiming second.
Cannes Lions was the launchpad for several partnership announcements for Omnicom where we continued to lead charge on Connected Commerce. At Cannes, we announced that Omnicom and Amazon Ads have partnered to connect audience data to browsing and shopping insights. We also announced that Omnicom and The Trade Desk have co-developed new data solutions to optimize CTV budgets, and that Omnicom’s Flywheel digital commerce division is now an official TikTok Shop partner providing best-in-class services to ensure seller growth on the platform. The final announcement revealed an Instacart API deal to buy directly off influencer content.
