The Digiday Awards has announced its 2021 shortlist, with OMD garnering triple-finalist status, including Most Innovative Media Agency for delivering better business outcomes for clients with our Fast Start Dashboard offering, and our work on Attention.
Other nominations included Best Product Launch Campaign for work with PepsiCo’s ‘Launch of Mountain Dew Major Melon’, where OMD fused the caffeinated beverage with game influencer messaging that foregrounded authenticity and premium content. John Cena, professional wrestler and actor, helmed the launch of Mountain Dew Major Melon, the brand’s first new flavor in more than a decade, driving interest in the run-up to the 2021 Super Bowl and highlighting in-game sweepstakes across every major social media channel – driving significant sales in Q1.
The final nomination was for Best Use of Influencer Marketing, a new category for 2021, for work with PepsiCo’s ‘Late Night Tastebuds’ campaign.
The Digiday Awards is the industry’s annual recognition of the companies, campaigns and creative modernizing media and marketing. This year’s awards acknowledges the evolution of an industry, highlighting work that has adapted and transformed marketing and media throughout the pandemic.
