OMD has appointed Jessica Roberts to chief client officer for OMD’s EMEA hub, based out of London.
Jessica, who has been with OMD UK since 1995, has been instrumental to the success of the agency over the past 25 years. Most recently in her role as chief agency development officer, she has overseen the business development function, and has created a winning new business culture. She has brought in a string of new clients to OMD UK over the last three years, including Barclays, Betway and Storck, alongside building and extending relationships with clients like McDonald’s. She has also been integral to developing a culture where everyone can thrive, creating a Charter for Change to supercharge OMD UK’s commitment to increasing BAME representation and creating a more inclusive agency culture.
OMD EMEA chief executive officer, Guy Marks, said: “We are thrilled to have been able to appoint Jess into this role. Her experience and knowledge of OMD and the UK market are unparalleled. It truly is a testament to the caliber of talent within our network, that we can promote internally and elevate outstanding local market talent when the opportunities arise. The last 36 months have not only seen an evolution of our agency, but the agency role itself has evolved, invoking a need for strong local talent in centralised roles, to support the changing dynamics of international clients. Jess’s addition to the team is a huge accomplishment, and we look forward to driving our clients’ businesses forward with her.”
Jessica is the latest member of the OMD EMEA senior leadership team who has been promoted from a local market leadership role. In December 2019, Guy promoted Oliver Stroh into the newly created role of chief development officer across EMEA, from his role as chief executive officer of OMD Germany.
Guy continued: “Jess and Oliver have joined our central team from our two largest and strongest markets in the region. Their appointments are a deliberate response to evolving our capabilities to support the changing needs of international client requests, so we can continue delivering better decisions, faster, through undisputed industry expertise. Jess and Oliver will work closely together to ensure excellence at the centre and across the EMEA network, through collaborative, transformative tools, process and ways of working to drive a consistent joined-up offering across our 70-plus offices.”
Jessica stated: “I am thrilled to be joining the EMEA team and am excited to bring my experience to the agency and its amazing roster of clients. I see my role as unlocking the full potential of our clients, our talent and our agency network by driving deep transformative partnerships. This year we accelerated the development of capabilities to help our clients make better Becisions, faster and we look forward to further strengthening our client relationships as we go into another unpredictable year.”
Delivering on the agency’s promise of delivering better decisions, faster, OMD EMEA is currently ranked number one by COMvergence for media and digital billings, number one most effective media agency by Effie Index and number one in the R3 new business league for Europe.
