In the latest edition of the Domestic Report from research company RECMA, OMD Australia has maintained its number one position on the leaderboard of qualitative measures. It is the only agency in Australia to consistently appear in the dominant category since 2017.
OMD Worldwide has also been named the best performing global media network overall in the global Diagnostics ranking. The report evaluates media agencies’ strengths and weaknesses across 19 criteria, spanning 700 media agencies in 47 countries. Key evaluative points include new business balance, competitiveness in pitches, specialised experts’ capabilities and client portfolio.
Aimee Buchanan, CEO, OMD Australia, says, “2020 was a tough year for everyone, but we were well positioned going into the pandemic and the OMD team were able to rally at pace to continue to deliver for our clients. Our consistent position is testament to the work and passion we deliver for our clients.”
Florian Adamski, OMD Worldwide CEO, adds, “For the past 12 months, while most of the industry was focused on getting through the crisis, OMD was looking ahead to how we could help our clients win the crisis, and lead in the new normal that will emerge from it. This ranking – combined with the best-in-class leap in client confidence scores we’ve seen since the start of the pandemic – affirms that in 2020 OMD delivered performance that mattered, in the year that mattered most.”
OMD Australia also tops the RECMA local new business ranking (from Jan 2020 – to date), having most recently been appointed The Victorian Government account in Melbourne and Greencross Limited in Sydney.
