DAN CLAYS

CEO

A high performance agency needs strong leadership to ensure its continual progression. Dan drives the direction of OMD UK’s people and its culture by working with the wider team to create an environment that attracts the best of the industry. His passion for media and understanding of the dynamic nature of consumer landscapes keeps the agency at the forefront of market trends, and, coupled with the high calibre team he cultivates, also ensures that fresh insights and innovative, market-leading work remain at the heart of OMD UK.
 
Starting out in the media industry over 16 years ago, Dan has worked in a variety of roles from digital specialist, to being a strategic agency leader, gaining a wealth of experience at digital agency Quantum, Arena Media, Phd, and Carat along the way. This depth of experience proves vital to delivering knowledgeable solutions for new and current clients alike.

Jessica Roberts

CHIEF CLIENT OFFICER

Jessica’s role ensures that OMD UK develops a client-centric business, shaping our teams to deliver against our clients’ growing expectations. She works alongside client partners and their teams to create benchmarks for what great client work and service looks like at OMD UK.
 
Jessica started her career in media at AMVBBDO as a graduate in 1993 and then moved to work at the in-house media department of BMP DDB which eventually became OMD UK as we know it today. Over the course of her career she has worked with a broad range of clients and sectors, most recently Boots, Hasbro and McDonald’s, helping them to redefine the role of media in their businesses and to evolve their communications models to integrate new opportunities.

Suzy Ryder

MANAGING PARTNER - DIGITAL & TECHNOLOGY

In April 2015, Suzy joined OMD UK as our first Managing Partner - Digital & Technology. She is responsible for developing all areas of digital across the agency, ensuring technology and data-driven solutions are at the heart of the agency’s media planning.

Before joining OMD UK, Suzy spent five years at Maxus where she was Head of Digital. Prior to Maxus, Ryder held senior roles at Zed and Tri-Direct.

HAMID HABIB

Chief Innovation Officer

Hamid’s area of expertise lies in strategic thinking, fuelled by insight and culminating in industry-leading creative results for our clients. He tackles the overall strategy, innovation, insight and creative output of OMD UK.

After deciding that life as a nightclub owner wasn’t for him, Hamid began his 16 years in the media world working with brands such as Playstation and Kit Kat with the UK’s first PR agency dedicated to the youth market. Since then, he has worked client-side at MTV and Nickelodeon, before moving back to agency life for a 7-year stint at ZenithOptimedia, followed by a year at Havas Media. During his time at both agencies, clients such as L’Oreal, EDF Energy, Compare the Market and Superdrug benefitted from his experience and expertise. During his career, Hamid has worked on campaigns that have won Media Week, Campaign Magazine and Cannes Lion awards, and he has been named one of Campaign’s top 10 media planners in the U.K.

Laura Fenton

Managing Partner - Client Development

With 13 years’ experience, Laura heads up our client servicing team alongside David and Helen. She is passionate about delivering communications that tangibly drive business performance for clients.

Having joined OMD UK in 2004 as a graduate Communications Planner, Laura has worked on multiple brands including Disney and Intel. In 2011 she transferred to Drum as Client Services Director, helping to shape the agency’s positioning, product and ways of working, delivering multiple award winning campaigns for Omnicom and moved back over to OMD UK in 2014 to take the role of Client Partner.

David Josephs

Managing Partner - Client Development

David joined OMD UK as Client Partner in June 2013.
 
He arrived on the back of a 14 year run at Mindshare, where he worked across a wide range of categories and brands, including Nestlé, Kellogg’s, Mazda, Zurich and ITV. 
 
Over his four years at OMD UK, David has led many award-winning campaigns for Channel 4, easyJet and Levi’s.

Helen Walker

Managing Partner - Client Development

Helen heads up the client servicing team alongside David and Laura. She is passionate about developing innovative communications strategies that deliver effective solutions to our clients' business problems.

Starting out in media 14 years ago, Helen has worked in a variety of roles across client service, strategy and brand experience. In 2003 Helen joined MEC (now Wavemaker) as a Communications Planner working on brands including Nintendo, Paramount and Transport for London. In 2010, Helen made the move to Australia and took charge of FUSE, OMD Sydney’s Partnership and Experience division, growing the business and delivering multiple award winning campaigns. In 2015 she transferred to OMD UK as Client Partner.

CHRISTIAN BYRON

MANAGING PARTNER, INVESTMENT

Christian leads OMD UK’s multi-media buying team, managing the cost, quality and ROI targets of media investment. Christian ensures that the investment team leverages media value at every opportunity to optimise our clients’ strategies and budgets.

Christian joined OMD UK as a graduate in 2000, climbing the ranks to his current role at the head of the investment team. During this time, Christian has bought and traded media on behalf of a large portfolio of clients including RAC, Aviva, PepsiCo, Sony and McDonald’s, a comprehensive range that shows Christian’s versatility and ability in his field.

Kate Herbert

Managing Partner - Head of People

Kate is responsible for ensuring OMD UK’s people become the very best they can be. In the last year, she has overseen the implementation of You @ OMD UK, our brand made up of four key pillars: OMD Academy (our Learning and Development programme), OMD Life (our Health and Wellbeing initiative), Licence to Switch (an initiative that enables anyone in the agency to apply for a secondment within another team) and Giving It Large (enabling the agency to give back to the community).

Prior to joining OMD UK, Kate held the position of Head of People at PHD and has 10 years’ experience in leading HR departments across the UK.

Ron Bell

Managing Partner - Finance

Ron heads up OMD UK’s Finance team as Finance Director. He joined the agency in 2017 and is responsible for the day to day financial operations of the business and providing support for all commercial arrangements with our clients.
 
After graduating with a degree in Economics and some time spent as a sports journalist for CNN/REUTERS, Ron worked for a casino company before joining WPP in 1999 and Omnicom in 2004. He has been part of the OMD Network for 13 years, most recently holding the position of Finance Director at OMD EMEA.

I joined OMD UK in March 2015 as a PA and just over a year later, I moved into OMD Create (our creative solutions team) to a brand new role as a Production Manager.
 
THE OMD EXPERIENCE
You may have heard this somewhere else, but OMD UK really is a great place to work. And that’s not just the culture – there’s a great bunch of people here and a hunger to put out dynamic, collaborative work to set us apart from the competition.
 
EXTRACURRICULARS
I’m just about to indulge my melodramatic side with a crash course in Musical Theatre, courtesy of the OMD Learning Bursary.
