OMD wins the $250m Barilla business

OMD has landed the $250m global Barilla business, the Italian pasta, sauce and pastry giant.

Beating incumbent Mediaedge:cia, along with Carat and Starcom, OMD scooped the business across over 20 markets, with the bulk of the business in Italy, US, Germany, France and the Nordics. The account will be run globally out of Italy.

Roberto Binaghi, CEO of OMD’s Italian office comments, "We are very proud of winning this business because we know Barilla has chosen OMD for the quality of our work and ability to perform across the network. They are an exciting and growing company and we look forward to a successful partnership."

According to Nikki Mendonça, President of OMD in the EMEA region, “This is a fantastic piece of business to bring into the network. The pitch was very competitive and winning it is a testament to the talent and dedication of our people”.
