Olger Smit

Head of Strategy

Olger is an experienced and highly acclaimed strategist and leader, with digital roots and a firm belief that good strategy is based on data, is digital at heart and drives results. He leads OMD’s strategy offering and drives our quest for sharper insights, smarter ideas and stronger results, all of which are directed at delivering our clients greater value. He is currently a hands-on leader across innovation projects for key clients and longer-term strategic planning. He understands the importance of genuinely putting aside time for his clients and is always up for a discussion on the latest global developments and connecting brands with people.

Over his 15 years at Omnicom, on both the media and creative sides, Olger has led primarily digital campaigns for a wide range of industry-leading clients including Heineken, Unilever, Albert Heijn, Vodafone, McDonald’s and Lays, and has in-depth experience in data-driven marketing and strategy. Having started playing rugby at 40, Olger is not one to walk away from a challenge - even if it means getting his hands dirty and starting at the very bottom to learn a new skill.

Sanne van Dooren

Director, Business Development

“Do it with passion or don’t do it at all.” Sanne is a natural bridge builder with an innate understanding of what makes people tick – a talent she refers to as her ‘sixth sense people skills’. Combining natural curiosity, enthusiasm and drive, she is fascinated by change and innovation, passionate about understanding how the world is constantly changing and how to respond to this change most intelligently.

Aside from sharp intuition, Sanne has more than fifteen years’ experience in digital marketing and sales. Prior to her appointment at OMD in the summer of 2016, she was on the Board of Directors at a programmatic data-driven start-up, driving their growth and increasing their scale – she implemented and developed the sales and marketing team which drove substantial annual growth. She was later jointly responsible for supervising a restructuring programme and subsequent merger with a listed company.

Sanne now harnesses her energy and experience for the benefit of OMD and our clients. A member of the management team and responsible for marketing, pitch management and product development, she is responsible for sustainably growing OMD by ensuring we are responding to our clients’ needs.

Ingeborg van der Giesen

Business Unit Director

What you see is what you get! Ingeborg is a bold, honest and pragmatic marketing communications expert with great interpersonal skills. She doesn’t like standard solutions – her motto is ‘get to the point and tell me what you need!’ She exceeds all expectations with her enthusiastic, ‘outside the box’ approach.

Ingeborg leads one of OMD’s largest local and global clients, leading her team to ensure that we provide them with best-in-class strategies and outstanding execution of all channels. Even more importantly, she works closely with her clients to challenge them in their business and marketing objectives and prepare them for far-reaching changes in the marketing communications landscape.

With 20 years’ experience, Ingeborg progressed rapidly from Junior Media Planner to Client Service Director. She received her digital baptism of fire at a progressive digital company where she gained the basic digital savvy she still applies to all her work. While advertisers aim for ‘brand love’, Ingeborg gives them ‘agency love’ in spades and her team ‘family love’. She will do whatever it takes to ensure the happiness of her clients and her team.

Roeland de Jong

Change only happens when the stars align. Set to create a future in technology, Roeland has developed his talent to deliver unexpected solutions for today and ultimately align the stars for tomorrow. At OMD, Roeland is driven to take on today’s increasingly complex media challenges in conjunction with brand ambitions. He is a ‘people person’ at heart and understands the importance of aligning the right people. Creative leadership, mood, talent management and cleverly organised teams are his answer to tackling today’s biggest challenge: anticipating a rapidly changing landscape.

With technology in his DNA, a background in creative strategy and experience in ventures embracing innovation, Roeland has founded tech start-ups encompassing content-to-commerce media solutions, acted as a public speaker at international industry events and fuelled global e-commerce trajectories with data strategies and storytelling techniques.

Roeland’s insights and ideas give brands the support they need to unveil content as a driver for brand strategies and produce media tactics that result in better growth for businesses.

Lesia is an experienced communications strategist and team leader, with experience in local, regional and global teams.  As a highly skilled team player she has a positive track record of organizational talents in different markets around the globe. She is strongly committed to deliver profitable growth and achieve business results for their clients, creating desire to drive demand. OMD’s motto is her way of working: Insights, Ideas, Results with the consumer at the heart of each strategic approach.

Lesia has been in the media business for almost 20 years, 10 of them in the OMD family around the globe, and has been working in different markets like Latin America, the US and Europe where she helped leader advertisers to innovate the relationship with their consumers. Some of them are Bacardi, Coca-Cola, Volkswagen, Panasonic, ING, FedEx, Beiersdorf, J&J, PepsiCo, Monsterboard, Renault, and many others. Being a citizen of the world, she will bring her Latin spirit to spark energy and innovation to the agency team serving her client’s marketing needs.

Cultivating talent and development leads to greater results. Harold is an AV expert and an inspiring manager with a passion for digital media and a keen eye for human resources. He leads a team of dedicated AV professionals whose enthusiasm, variety talents and market knowledge help him stay a step ahead of the competition and generate the best results for our clients. A continuous focus on growth and issues of topical relevance allow Harold to harness his team's talents and achieve the best results.

Harold started as a radio and television planner about twenty years ago at one of the first real media firms in the Netherlands. The experience, knowledge and network he has amassed over the years have transformed him into an undisputed AV authority. Harold enjoys gaming in his free time and has been a serious clan gamer since the introduction of ZX Spectrum. He previously worked for a high-profile client in the international video games industry.

Harold takes great pleasure in his work and in collaborating with colleagues. He can draw on an impressive corporate network in search of new and equally constructive partnerships that have the potential of creating win-win situations.

As a preferred Google partner we were able to do a beta test with Google 360 audiences in the Netherlands. The set up and results of the session-based remarketing test is a solid base for other countries to use.
