OMD Asia Pacific was established in November 1997. OMD has 26 offices in 13 Asian Pacific countries. The region, overseen by CEO Barry Cupples based in Singapore, is divided into three areas: Greater China managed from Hong Kong by Maggie Choi, Southeast and Southern Asia run from Singapore by Jim Goh. The remaining markets are overseen directly by Barry Cupples and regional CFO David Devonshire. The OMD Asia Pacific Research Community, with its extensive media research capabilities and deep consumer insight, is comprised of directors in all markets and led by Florence Oong in Singapore. OMD Checkmate is the backbone of our strategic planning capability across the entire region and delivers compelling results for our clients. As proof of this success OMD has won significantly more awards than any of our regional competitors and was Media Magazine's Media Agency of the Year 2006, the third time that we have picked up this most prestigious award.
